Biography
Sandy Gavin is a Visiting Associate Professor as well as Director of Advocacy Programs. She teaches Advanced Trial Advocacy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Evidence, Evidence II, Pretrial and Products Liability. Professor Gavin also serves as a coach for the Student Trial Advocacy Competition Team. She received her teaching certification and B.A. from Case Western Reserve University and her J.D. from Cleveland State University where she was an editor of the law review. She has been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a civil trial attorney. Prior to joining the faculty Professor Gavin was employed as a public defender, defense litigation associate and partner in a litigation firm. She is a mediator in federal and state court as well as an arbitrator for employment matters.
